Search Continues For Robber Involved In Post Office Raid

A search is continuing for a suspect allegedly involved in an armed post office robbery in Co Kerry.

Three men stole a sum of cash from Waterville Post Office at around 11am on Wednesday, 03 August.

The suspects left the scene in a small blue car in the direction of Cahersiveen/Killarney.

At around 11.15am, Gardaí responding to the robbery intercepted a navy blue Mazda car and pursued the vehicle.

The car crashed in the Beaufort area of Killarney and shots were discharged by Gardaí during the incident. No injuries have been reported.

The suspects abandoned the vehicle and took off over fields on foot. Two men, aged in their 30s, were subsequently arrested and are currently being detained at Killarney and Tralee Garda stations under Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Gardaí Launches Investigation After Post Office Robbery In Dublin
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a post office was robbed in Dublin. The incident occurred at Roebuck Post Office on Farmhill Road yesterday, 05 January. It is understood two armed men entered the post office in Goatstown at around 9:30am. One of the men fired shots which shattered the glass partition at the customer counter.

Four people have been arrested in connection with a post office robbery in Clogherhead, Co Louth, in May. Three men, aged 30, 33 and 42, and a woman aged 23, were arrested in the Louth area this morning (Monday), in connection with the robbery on Tuesday, 03 May, 2016.
