Dunleek Shooting Probed

A man is in hospital in Drogheda after being shot outside his home.

Gardai in County Meath were this afternoon investigating the shooting incident in Duleek.

A 29-year-old was hit a number of times by a lone gunman as he was putting out a bin at a house in the Belfry Estate on the Navan Road this morning.

He is being treated for his injuries at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda, where his condition is not thought to be life threatening.

Gardai have appealed for anyone who was in the area this morning to contact them.

They're also keen to speak to the occupants of a dark blue car, possibly a Renault Megane.
