Revenue Seize Cash At Shannon Airport

Revenue officers have seized a quantity of cash from a Polish national at Shannon Airport.

The seizure was made on Monday when a man, in his thirties, was stopped and questioned by Revenue officers before boarding a flight to Krakow.

Officers seized the cash in accordance with proceeds of crime legislation, and were granted a three month detention order by Judge Patrick Durcan at Ennis District Court to facilitate further investigations.

Men Held Over Dublin Airport Cash Seizure
Revenue officers have seized more than €63,000 in two separate operations at Dublin Airport. Officers stopped and searched two Romanian men following routine profiling. The men were travelling separately; however, both were boarding the same early morning flight to Budapest at 6am on Monday, 15 May.

Revenue officers have seized a quantity of cash at Shannon Airport. It is understood the cash was seized from a Polish national at the airport on Monday. The woman, in her twenties, was stopped and questioned by Revenue officers prior to boarding a flight to Wroclaw in Poland.

Dogs, Cash & Cigarettes Seized In Revenue Operations
Revenue officers seized two dogs, a quantity of cash and thousands of unstamped cigarettes during separate operations across the country on Tuesday 05 November. Routine profiling led to the discovery of over €27,000 in the luggage of an Irish national travelling from Shannon to Malaga.
