Two Men Arrested In Martin Kivlehan Murder Investigation

Two men have been arrested by officers investigating the murder of Martin Kivlehan on 03 August 2015.

They were both arrested in Sligo town and are currently being detained at Sligo Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.

The body of Mr Kivlehan was discovered in the early hours of Monday, 03 August at New Apts, Holburn St, Sligo.

Mr Kivlehan died of stab wounds.

Man Arrested After Body Found In Co Sligo
A man has been arrested in connection with a murder following the discovery of a body in Co Sligo. The body of Martin Kivlehan, 59, was found at 1 New Apts, Holburn Street on 3 August. A post mortem revealed Mr Kivlehan died from stab wounds. The suspect, who is in his 30's, was arrested today Tuesday, 1 September.

Two Arrested In Connection With Fatal Stabbing Incident In Sligo
Gardai have arrested two people after a man was found stabbed to death at his flat in Sligo. A man and woman, both aged in their 20s, have been detained after the body of Martin Kivlehan, was discovered at his property on Tuesday. A post-mortem examination confirmed he had been stabbed.

The body of a man found in Sligo on Monday has been identified as 59-year-old Martin Kivlehan with an address in Sligo town.  The preliminary results from the post-mortem examination confirmed that Mr Kivlehan died of stab wounds.

Pensioner Dies In Sligo Collision
A pensioner has died in a car crash in County Sligo. The collision, which involved a car and a van, occurred at Lufnadeffa, Ballysadare at around 12.20pm on Wednesday. The driver of the car, a female in her 80s and the van driver are being treated in hospital with serious injures. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
