Man Seriously Attacked In Co Limerick
An investigation has been launched after a man was seriously attacked in County Limerick on Monday.
The incident occurred in Newcastle West at around 2.15am.
The man suffered a serious head injury and is currently being treated in hospital.
Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

A man is being treated in hospital after receiving serious injures in a shooting attack in Cabra, Dublin. The incident happened on the Killala Road at around 7.30pm on Sunday. The 54-year-old victim, who is known to gardaí, was shot a number of times when he was walking his dog. He is in a serious condition at the Mater Hospital.

Body Confirmed As Missing Galway Man
Gardaí have confirmed they have found the body of missing Galway man Adrian Folan. Mr Folan had been missing since last Thursday, when he was last seen in Athlone. Gardaí say that a body found in a disused quarry near the village of Liscannor in north Clare is that of Mr Folan, and that the death is being treated as suspicious.

A pensioner remains in a serious condition in hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in Waterford City yesterday. The 81-year-old man was struck by a 4a4 vehicle on the Cork Road at approximately 2.30pm. He is believed to be in a serious condition in Waterford Regional Hospital. Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

A Polish man remains seriously ill in hospital in Cork University Hospital after being attacked and set alight in Limerick in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 35-year-old was attacked in the Russell Road/Dock Road area of Dooradoyle around 2am.
