Body Confirmed As Missing Galway Man

Gardaí have confirmed they have found the body of missing Galway man Adrian Folan.

Mr Folan had been missing since last Thursday, when he was last seen in Athlone.

Gardaí say that a body found in a disused quarry near the village of Liscannor in north Clare is that of Mr Folan, and that the death is being treated as suspicious.

A post-mortem is due to take place at University Hospital Limerick today.

More than 660 motorists were caught breaking the speed limit across the Causeway Coast and Glens during the Easter bank holiday weekend – an increase of 22% from 2022. Chief Inspector Sinead McIldowney said: "The Safety Camera Vans were deployed at various locations across the North Coast and the increase in these detections is a worrying trend.

Brother Of Adrian Folan Charged With Murder
The brother of Adrian Folan, the missing Galway man whose body was found on Tuesday, has been charged with his murder. Mr Folan had been missing since last week. His body was found yesterday in an unused quarry near Liscannor, Co Clare.

Body Confirmed As Missing Co Kilkenny Man
Gardaí have found the body of a man that was reported missing two weeks ago. The body of Billy Dooley, of Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, was found in a public toilet in the town. It is understood that gardaí had been searching for Mr Dooley for a fortnight. They say that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Missing Tramore Teenager Found Safe
A 16-year-old girl who went missing from her home in Tramore, Co Waterford, has been found safe and well, Gardaí have said. Margueritta 'Maggie' Goulden was reported missing on 8 January. It is understood the teenager was found in the Dublin area. Gardaí have thanked the public for their assistance in the case.
