Two Arrested Over Cannabis Seized In North Co Dublin
Cannabis worth an estimated €1.7m has been seized in north county Dublin in a joint operation by Customs officers and Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
Approximately 85kgs of the drug was seized on Wednesday after it arrived concealed in a freight consignment from Spain.
A male, aged 24 years and a female, aged 32 years, were arrested and are currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Garda said that the investigations are continuing.

Gardaí uncovered the drugs, along with a sum of cash, during a search of a property in Ballymote on Thursday evening, 16 January. A male in his 30s was arrested and remains in custody at Ballymote Garda Station.

Three Arrested Over Sligo Cannabis Find
Gardaí in Sligo uncovered a significant amount of Cannabis during a search of a house in County Sligo over the weekend. 250 cannabis plants and a quantity of cannabis herb were discovered in Clonloo at around midday on Saturday 09 March. The seized drugs are valued at over €200,000.

Over €1M worth of cannabis has been seized in two separate drug finds in Dublin over the weekend. In the latest incident, Gardai seized a quantity of Herbal Cannabis and arrested a woman in her 40's on Sunday night after an operation by detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit, Pearse Street Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Service.
