Over €1M Cannabis Seized In Dublin

Over €1M worth of cannabis has been seized in two separate drug finds in Dublin over the weekend.

In the latest incident, Gardai seized a quantity of Herbal Cannabis and arrested a woman in her 40's on Sunday night after an operation by detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit, Pearse Street Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Service.

The woman was charged and will appear before Court Number one CCJ Parkgate Street at 10.30am on Monday morning.

Gardai seized a quantity of Herbal Cannabis worth €300,000 during a search of accommodation in the north inner city area of Dublin.

The woman aged in her 40s is currently detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996, at Pearse Street Garda Station.

In an earlier find, Gardai seized cannabis resin and arrested a male aged in his 40s after conducting a search in North Dublin.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs. The "intelligence led" operation led members of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Units to a premises in the North Dublin on Saturday evening.

During the search Cannabis Resin with an estimated street value of €900,000 was recovered.

A man arrested during the operation is currently detained at Ashbourne Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.

Cannabis Seized During Raid In Wexford
Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

Gardaí Arrest 45 In Major Drugs Operation
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

Four Arrested In Connection With Drugs Seizures
Around €1m worth of drugs were seized as part of a planned Garda Operation in Longford and South Roscommon. Four people have been arrested in connection in what is believed to be nearly 2,000 cannabis plants. A man in his 20's was arrested after around 800 cannabis plants were seized at a growhouse in the South Roscommon area.
