Memorial Service Held At UCD For Berkeley Victims
A memorial service has been held at University College Dublin for the six students that died when a balcony collapsed at an apartment complex in Berkeley, California, earlier this week.
Three of the students were studying at UCD; Eimear Walsh and Lorcán Miller were studying medicine, and Niccolai Schuster was studying history and politics.
President Michael D Higgins and his wife joined hundred of others to remember them and Olivia Burke, Eoghan Culligan and Ashley Donohoe.

Two Well-Known Dublin Hotels To Close
Two of Dublin's best-known hotels will close their doors today after 35 years in business. Jury's Ballsbridge and the adjacent Berkeley Court have been bought by property developer Sean Dunne for approximately 380 million euro. The sites will be redeveloped for apartments and commercial units.

Hundreds Attend Berkeley Vigil For Irish Students
Hundreds of people attended a candlelit vigil in Berkeley, California, to pay their respects after six people died when a balcony collapsed. Five Irish students died in the incident, with seven more remaining in hospital – two of which are said to be in a serious condition.
