Two Well-Known Dublin Hotels To Close
Two of Dublin's best-known hotels will close their doors today after 35 years in business.
Jury's Ballsbridge and the adjacent Berkeley Court have been bought by property developer Sean Dunne for approximately 380 million euro.
The sites will be redeveloped for apartments and commercial units.
Almost 600 staff will lose their jobs, but they have already accepted an offer of seven weeks redundancy pay per year of service from the Jurys Doyle group.

Investigation Launched Into Limerick Hospital Fire
An investigation has been launched into a fire at University Hospital Limerick over the weekend. A number of patients were evacuated from the hospital when the fire was spotted at around 18:45 on Saturday evening. It is understood that the fire began in a plant room, which is on the roof of one of the hospitals laboratories.

Bookings Up For Irish Family-Owned Hotels
New figures released today show that bookings in Irish family-owned hotels have increased in the first two months of this year. Irish Country Hotels, a collection of 26 family-owned hotels in Ireland, show a 21% increase in bookings for January and February compared to the same period in 2011.

Man Due In Court Charged With Murder Of Marek Swider
A 38-year-old man is due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with the murder of Marek Swider. Mr Swider, 40, was fatally stabbed on New Years Eve on Dublin Road, Ballyjamesduff in Cork. The suspect was arrested in Cork city on 04 January.
