Hundreds Attend Berkeley Vigil For Irish Students
Hundreds of people attended a candlelit vigil in Berkeley, California, to pay their respects after six people died when a balcony collapsed.
Five Irish students died in the incident, with seven more remaining in hospital – two of which are said to be in a serious condition.
The vigil gathered in the Martin luther King Civic Center Park near to the apartment block where the incident happened according to a report by RTÉ.

A candlelight vigil has been held in Carrickmines, Dublin, at the scene of a fire that claimed the lives of 10 people. Hundreds of people attended the vigil, where hundreds of candles were lit alongside floral tributes at the entrance to the halting site.

Students' Unions across the country are providing boxes of food for students who are still waiting on grant assistance. The Union of Students in Ireland (USI) has encouraged all Students' Unions to provide whatever assistance they can to those who are now looking to them for their basic needs.

Thousands Joins Anti-Abortion Vigil
Thousands of people attended a vigil outside the Daíl on Tuesday night urging the government not to introduce abortion, under any circumstances, in Ireland. More than 2,000 demonstrators from the group Pro Life lit candles and hoisted religious banners and signs reading "Fine Gael Keep Your Pro Life Promise".

Vigil Organised To Remember Romanian Teenager
A vigil to remember a Romanian teenager, whose remains were found in a shallow grave in the Wicklow Mountains in January this year. Pavee Point has organised a candle-lit vigil for Mariora Rostas in Dublin city centre this evening at 6pm. It is to coincide with her funeral in Romania.
