Two Charged Over Cork Assault
Two men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault on a businessman at a Cork industrial estate on Tuesday.
A man returning to his business at Churchfield Industrial Estate at about 16:45 on Tuesday was approached by two men, who demanded money.
Following a struggle, the 30-year-old man was left with serious injuries. He remains in hospital, where is condition is said to be serious but stable.
Two men, aged 19 and 25, are due to appear before Cork District Court charged with assault today.

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault at an industrial estate on Tuesday afternoon. A man, aged in his 30, was returning to premises at Churchfield Industrial Estate at about 16:45. As he parked his car, two men approached the man, threatening him and demanding money.

Gardaí in Cork have arrested two men in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault, following a Jason Derulo concert in the city. Two women, understood to be aged 18 and 19, reported to garda that they had been seriously sexually assaulted by two men they met in a nearby nightclub, following the concert.
