Two Charged Over Cork Assault

Two men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault on a businessman at a Cork industrial estate on Tuesday.

A man returning to his business at Churchfield Industrial Estate at about 16:45 on Tuesday was approached by two men, who demanded money.

Following a struggle, the 30-year-old man was left with serious injuries. He remains in hospital, where is condition is said to be serious but stable.

Two men, aged 19 and 25, are due to appear before Cork District Court charged with assault today.

A man is due in court this morning in facing charges of serious assault against a Polish National in North Dublin. Gardai in the Coolock area of the Capital charged the man, who is in his 20s yesterday in relation to the serious assault, which occurred at Newtown Industrial Estate in Coolock.

Gardaí in Cork have arrested two men in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault, following a Jason Derulo concert in the city. Two women, understood to be aged 18 and 19, reported to garda that they had been seriously sexually assaulted by two men they met in a nearby nightclub, following the concert.

Woman Appears In Court Over Galway Death
A woman is due to appear before Waterford District Court this morning charged in connection with the death of a man in the city on Monday night. Joe O’Brien’s body was found at Scotch Marsh House apartment complex, Scotch Quay, Waterford. A post-mortem found he died from head injuries.
