Cocaine Worth An Estimated €500,000 Seized In Dublin

Cocaine worth an estimated €500,000 has been discovered during a stop and search of a vehicle in west Dublin.

Officers from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau made the seizure when they stopped a vehicle in Ballyfermot on Thursday afternoon. A follow-up search was also carried out in Dublin 20, garda said.

Two men, aged 34 and 55, have been arrested in connection with the drug find and are being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

Range Of Drugs Seized During Arrest
A man has been arrested and a range of drugs seized during an operation in Dublin. During the course of the search, 2.5 kilo's of cocaine, 1 kilo of heroin and 14 ounces of crack cocaine were seized. Gardaí say the arrest and seizure were the result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin.

Separate Operations Turn Up €500,000 Of Drugs
Two separate Gardaí operations conducted yesterday have recovered almost half a million euro in illegal drugs. In the first operation last night, Gardaí from the North Central Drugs Unit in Dublin carried out a search of a car at Bellewstown Co Meath. During the course of the search, 3kg of Cocaine was discovered.

A series of burglaries has prompted warnings to residents to be on the look out for an imposter con. Gardaí at Clondalkin are advising residents in the Clondalkin and Ballyfermot areas to be vigilant after a number of similar burglaries over the weekend.
