Woman Stabbed In Athy
A woman has been stabbed in Athy, Co Kildare.
The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was stabbed just before noon, on Tuesday.
She was taken to Naas General Hospital and was treated with minor injuries.
Gardai have launched an investigation.
No arrests have been made.

Tests May Show Park Body Is Romanian
DNA tests are to be carried out after lines of inquiry have suggested the woman found stabbed to death in the Phoenix Park last week was a Romanian national. After a series of high profile appeals to the public, Gardaí have been given reason to believe the unidentified woman may be a Romanian woman who was living in Dublin for some time.

56-Year-Old Woman Dies In County Donegal Car Accident
A 56-year-old woman has died in a traffic accident in County Donegal. The woman was driving one of two cars that were involved in the collision at Drumgun, Pettigo at 1.30pm on Tuesday afternoon. A passenger in the woman’s car suffered minor injuries while the driver of the second car escaped injury. The road was closed until approximately 8.

Garda Officer Injured In Hit-And-Run
A garda officer has been injured in a hit-and-run incident in Ballina, Co Mayo. Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the incident, involving to officers on foot patrol. It is understood that the officers tried to stop a car at about 18:00, however, the car failed to stop and one of the officers sustained minor injuries to his leg.

Four Women Killed In Co Kildare Crash
Four women have died in a road collision in County Kildare. Another woman was seriously injured in the crash and is currently being treated in Naas General Hospital. Three 19-year-old women and a 20-year-old were passengers in a car which crashed into a van near Athy just before 10pm on Tuesday night.

A woman is in a serious condition in hospital following a knife attack in Cobh, Co Cork. According to reports, the woman and her teenage daughter were attacked at a house in Cooline Avenue on Tuesday morning. The daughter is understood to have received minor injuries in the incident and was released from hospital following treatment.
