Garda Officer Injured In Hit-And-Run
A garda officer has been injured in a hit-and-run incident in Ballina, Co Mayo.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the incident, involving to officers on foot patrol. It is understood that the officers tried to stop a car at about 18:00, however, the car failed to stop and one of the officers sustained minor injuries to his leg.
The officer required hospital treatment was released a short time later.
Garda said that a car has been seized in connection with the incident, but that no arrests have been made.
Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact garda.

It is claimed that a large group of off-duty Garda officers where socialising in a pub in Limerick's city centre when the alleged incident took place.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following an incident in which a patrol car was rammed and two officers injured in Co Leitrim. Gardaí on patrol in Mohill at about 4.30am saw two suspected stolen vehicles enter a car park of a Centra store.

Man Killed Following Dublin Robbery
A man has been found killed in the car park of a shop in Dublin after an attempted robbery on Thursday night. Details of the killing are still emerging, but gardaí at Clontarf Garda Station have launched an investigation into the death of the man in his twenties on what is thought to be the escape route of the robber.

Man Arrested Over Shooting Incident In Co Limerick
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in County Limerick. A man in his 50s was seriously injured in the incident which occurred in Castleroy on Monday morning. He is currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital. The man is currently being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

Garda Probe As Young Girl Injured In Dublin 'Incident'
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a young girl was injured in an incident in County Dublin. Emergency services were called to a house in Rush at around 10.20pm on Tuesday evening, 02 July. The girl is receiving treatment at Temple Street Children's Hospital. Gardaí are continuing to investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident.
