Woman In Serious Condition Following Knife Attack In Cobh
A woman is in a serious condition in hospital following a knife attack in Cobh, Co Cork.
According to reports, the woman and her teenage daughter were attacked at a house in Cooline Avenue on Tuesday morning.
The daughter is understood to have received minor injuries in the incident and was released from hospital following treatment.
Gardaí have confirmed that a man in his 50s was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.

Man Dies Following Serious Assault In Dublin
A man has died after being seriously assaulted in Dublin. The attack happened in the Avonbeg Gardens area at around 5.30pm on Thursday. The victim was taken to Tallaght Hospital, however he was pronounced dead a short time later. No arrests have been made. Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Woman Dies Following Road Crash
A woman died in hospital on Monday, following a road crash in Co. Kildare earlier in the day. The 82-year-old was struck by a van in Newbridge around 12:30pm. She was taken to Naas Hospital for treatment, but died there later.

A man has been released without charge following a serious attack on another man in Tralee on Wednesday night. The attack occurred in the Kileen Woods area at around 10.35pm. The victim, aged in his 20s, remains in a critical condition in Kerry General Hospital. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
