Irishman Arrested In Spain After Suitcases Of Cocaine Thrown From Window
A 39-year-old Irishman has been arrested in Spain after allegedly throwing two suitcases of cocaine from a hotel window, the Irish Times have reported.
According to reports, the Irishman threw two suitcases containing 55 kilos of cocaine from an eight-floor window, before trying to recover them from the internal patio they landed on.
It is understood that a receptionist had already called police after finding the cases with their contents scattered across the floor.
The Irish Times goes on to report that the man was subsequently arrested when he went to reception to ask for a key to his room, which he had managed to lock himself out of.

Woman Arrested Over Dublin Airport Cocaine Seizure
Cocaine worth an estimated €250,000 has been seized at Dublin Airport. A 39-year-old woman, who arrived in Dublin from Dubai, was stopped and questioned by Revenue officers. She was found to be carrying the cocaine in three confectionery tins. The woman was arrested and detained by Gardaí. Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.

Two Men Arrested Following Planned Searches
Two men have been arrested after gardai in Limerick seized a handgun, cocaine, cash and ammunition. The discovery was made during planned searched of six houses, outhouses and sheds in the Lower Gerald Griffin Street area at around 8.30am today (15 August).

The three British men charged in connection with a €500 million cocaine seizure off the coast of West Cork have been remanded in continuing custody after Thursday's court appearance. Philip Doo, 52, Christopher Wiggins, 42, and David Mufford, 44 were in Kinsale District Court this morning facing charges under the Drugs Trafficking Act.

Gardaí have carried out a series of raids across Dublin as part of an operation targeting a criminal gang with links to a cocaine dealing operation in Australia and New Zealand. According to reports six arrests have been made during searches at a number of premises in Drumcondra, Artane, Finglas and Swords.
