Arrests Made In Series Of Search Operations In Dublin

Gardaí have carried out a series of raids across Dublin as part of an operation targeting a criminal gang with links to a cocaine dealing operation in Australia and New Zealand.

According to reports six arrests have been made during searches at a number of premises in Drumcondra, Artane, Finglas and Swords.

Reportedly some €250,000 in cash was seized during the operation.

Gardaí believe that money from drugs being sold in Australia is being funnelled back into Ireland.

It is understood that five of the men arrested during the operation had recently returned from Australia.
