Series Of Drug Raids Carried Out By Garda In Two Counties
A series of raids have been carried out by gardaí in Roscrea and Thurles, Co Tipperary and Birr, Co Offaly.
Two arrests were made in the Co Tipperary when around 50 gardaí officers raided a number of properties in five different locations.
Gardaí say that two men were arrested during the course of the raid for attempting to cause an obstruction.
The raids follow residents raising concerns at public meetings over drugs. Around 500 people staged an impromptu protest at a local garda station.
Gardaí say that the raids in Thurles seized amphetamine and cannabis with a combined street value of an estimated €40,000.

Six Arrested In Dawn Raids Across Galway City
Gardaí in Galway have arrested six men in dawn raids across the city. The raids were conducted by the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit as part of Operation Sandman, and ongoing operation tackling the sale of drugs in Galway. The six men are expected to appear before a special setting of Galway District Court later today.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.

€2.1m Worth Of Cannabis Seized In Growhouse Raids
Cannabis growhouse with an estimated overall value of €2.1 million have been uncovered in gardaí raids. Three growhouses were found at Clash industrial estate in Tralee, Co Kerry; a house at Falty, Oldtown, Athlone, Co Roscommon; and a house and sheds at Carrigaloon, Virginia, Co Cavan.

Three Arrested After Pharmacy Raids
Three men have been arrested after a spate of raids on a number of pharmacies in Limerick and Tipperary. The men were held after a high-speed chase with gardaí in the Drombanna area of Co Limerick at around 1.20am. During the incident the patrol car was rammed but no officers were injured.
