Four Men To Appear In Court In Connection With Murder Of Peter Butterly
Four men are to appear in court charged in connection with the murder of Peter Butterly.
Mr Butterly was fatally shot outside a bar in Meath on 06 March 2013.
The suspects were detained in counties Meath, Cavan and Dublin.
Two other men are serving life sentences for the murder of Mr Butterly.

As Justice Minister Dermot Ahern announced new measures today aimed at cracking down on gangland crime, it has emerged that four men have been detained after a gun was uncovered during a separate police operation in Co Cork. The Minister's proposals follow talks between his office and the Gardái Commissioner.

Stardust Disaster Relatives Oppose Development
Dublin City Council has agreed to allow the construction of 178 apartments and houses and a hotel in Artane. The development will be on the site of the Stardust nightclub disaster and has been appealed to An Bord Pleanála.

Two Men To Appear In Court For Roy Collins Murder
Two men will appear in court on Friday charged with the murder of businessman Roy Collins. It is understood the two men, who are members of the McCarthy-Dundon gang – one of whom is regarded as a major criminal figure – will be charged before the Special Criminal Court in connection with the 2009 gun attack.

Suspected Cartoonist Plotters Appear In Court
Two of the men held in connection with a plot to murder a Swedish cartoonist have appeared in court. Ali Charafe Damache, from Algeria, and Abdul-Salam Mansour Al-Jehani from Libya were remanded in custody at a special sitting of Waterford District Court last night. A third man, who had been in custody, was released without charge shortly after 6.
