Man Charged With Murder Of Woman In Dublin Hotel

A man held on Monday in connection with the death of a woman in a Dublin hotel room has been charged with murder.

Cleaning staff at the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght discovered the body of 30-year-old Sonia Blount on Sunday afternoon.

31-year-old Eric Locke, of St John's Park East in Clondalkin, was arrested when he handed himself in to a Dublin garda station on Sunday night.

He appeared in court this morning charged with the murder of Ms Blount.

He was remanded to appear again next week.

According to reports, Ms Blount had suffered injuries consistent with a violent death.

Missing Dublin Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A Dublin man missing since Sunday morning has been found "safe and well". 27-year-old Glen Fitzpatrick was reported missing from his home in Inchicore, Dublin 8. Gardaí had issued an appeal for information on Monday and have thanked the public for their help. No details of where Mr Fitzpatrick was during the time he was missing have been released.

A man has appeared in court today, charged with the murder of a man in Walkinstown in Dublin last week. Warren Graham, 27, from Shancastle Lawn in Clondalkin, has been charged with the murder of Paul Keegan.

'No Foul Play' In Death Of Baby Girl Found On North Dublin Beach
Gardaí have renewed an appeal to the mother of a baby girl, whose body was found on a north Dublin beach to contact them. The body of the baby girl was found on Bell's beach in Balbriggan on Sunday morning. Garda have said that a post-mortem confirmed that the child was a full-term baby girl and that "no foul place" was involved in her death.
