Man Charged After 'Chess Row' Murder
A 34-year-old man is to appear in court today after being charged with the murder of a man in Dublin.
Thomas O'Gorman, 39, was found severely beaten and stabbed to death at his home in Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock, early on Sunday morning.
Gardaí have described the killing as "gruesome". It is thought the killing is linked to a disagreement over the movement of a piece on a chessboard.
On Sunday evening, detectives arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the incident. He was later charged with murder. The man, who works in Dublin but is originally from Italy, is due to appear at Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
