Man Held Over Hotel Body Find
Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the discovery of a woman's body in a hotel room over the weekend.
Cleaning staff at the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght found the body of 30-year-old Sonia Blount in a room on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Ms Blount had suffered injuries consistent with a violent death. Garda have said the case is being treated as murder.
It is understood the man was arrested after handing himself in at a Dublin garda station.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

The hotel industry must moderate prices or face the loss of the special concession it has enjoyed since 2011, Labour Spokesperson for Urban Regeneration, Joe Costello, has said. Deputy Costello highlighted a recent study by Accounting and Advisory firm Crowe and Howarth, revealed a 30% rise in profits per hotel room across the country in 2015.

An as yet unnamed man has died in a Venezuelan hotel room when the cocaine filled condoms he was carrying in his stomach burst. It is believed the man in his early 30’s had links to a Co Sligo-based crime family. Police in the Venezuelan capital said they found the man dying in a hotel in the city on Wednesday.

Man Dies In Shooting Incident
A 21-year-old man who was shot in Bunratty, Co Clare, died yesterday in hospital. Two men are still being questioned over the attack at the Bunratty Castle Hotel car park, and are being detained at Mayfield and Gurranabraher Garda Stations.

Woman Dead After Cork Hotel Gas Leak
A woman has died in a suspected gas leak in a County Cork hotel at the weekend. Gardaí said they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body at a Hotel in Kinsale, Co Cork at around 2pm, yesterday. The woman's friends found the 30-year-old's body in an upstairs room at the hotel.
