Five Teens Arrested Over Dublin Robberies

Five males aged between 14 and 19-years-old have been arrested by gardaí from Mountjoy, Finglas & Blanchardstown Garda stations investigating a number of robberies in the West Dublin area on 9 January.

The five males were detained at Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations yesterday.

Four of the males have been charged in connection with this investigation and were due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.

The fifth male was released from Garda custody without charge.

Sir Jeffrey Donaldson And Wife Appear In Court
Former DUP Leader, Sir Jeffrey Donaldson and his wife, Lady Eleanor Donaldson, have appeared before Newry Magistrates Court charged with a number of historical sex offences. Two males have been arrested and a firearm seized by Gardaí investigating organised crime in Blanchardstown, Co Westmeath. The operation was carried out on Tuesday 03 December, with a fully loaded semi-automatic Makorav handgun removed from a vehicle.

Appeal Issued For Man Missing Since 13 July
Gardaí have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Zilvinas Duda, who is missing from Dublin. The 31-year-old has been missing from the Ongar area of Dublin 15 since Saturday 13 July. It is understood that Mr Duda's car, a Grey Audi A3 Hatchback, was found on the Staleen Road in Donore in County Meath on the same day.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.

Communities Minister Must Prioritise Anti-Poverty Measures
The Alliance Party has criticised Communities Minister, Gordon Lyons, for "not prioritising anti-poverty measures". MLA Kellie Armstrong said the Minister's inaction was "disappointing" in light of a new report showing that one in five children in NI are living in relative poverty.
