Money And Firearm Recovered Following Armed Robbery

Cash and a firearm has been recovered following an armed bank raid in Donnybrook, Dublin.

According to Gardaí two men entered the Bank of Ireland on Stillorgan Road at around 11.30, threatening staff with a firearm.

After the men escaped the scene, swapping a white car for a motorbike, uniformed gardaí chased the raiders, arresting one of the men and recovering the full amount of money and a firearm.

Gardaí are continuing to search for the second raider.

Gardaí Investigate Cash-In-Transit Robbery
An investigation has been launched following the robbery of a cash-in-transit van on Monday morning at Blakestown in west Dublin. The incident occurred shortly before 8am when two men approached the van armed with an iron bar and what is believed to be an imitation firearm and threatened a member of staff.

Firearm Found Following Cork Robbery
Gardai have discovered a firearm following a robbery at a house in Cork. The shotgun was found in a field near the home of a businessman at Gluntahaune during searches on Monday. Five men have been arrested and are currently being detained in custody. The weapon has been sent for forensic examination.

Cash Van Robbed By Armed Men
A cash-in-transit van has been robbed in Dublin this morning. Gardaí have said a man, carrying what is thought to have an immitation firearm, confronted a security guard as he delivered money to an ATM at Clare Hall at around 10:15 on Thursday morning.

€60k Cocaine Seized In Co Cork Raid
Gardaí in Co Cork have seized over €60,000 worth of suspected cocaine and a suspected imitation firearm. The drugs were discovered at a house in the Newmarket area on Thursday night, 12 September. No arrests have been made as yet. An investigation is ongoing and all items will be sent for analysis.
