Firearm Recovered In Limerick House Search

A man has been arrested and a firearm recovered during a planned gardaí search of a house in Limerick.

The Divisional Drug Unit, the Dog Unit and gardaí from Roxboro Road conducted a search of the house on Clarina Aveneu, Ballinacurra Weston at around 20:00 on Sunday night.

Gardaí say that a firearm was recovered during the search and it is currently undergoing technical examination.

The man remains in custody.

Body Recovered From Dublin Canal
The body of a missing man, who had disappeared after a party, has been recovered from a canal in Dublin. Damian O'Brien, 37, who had been living in Phibsborough, Dublin, disappeared on November 27 after attending a party at a friend's house. A two-week search ensued after Mr O'Brien failed to return to work at Failte Ireland.
