Man Stabbed In Dublin City Centre
Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in Dublin city centre at around 5.40pm on Monday.
The victim was attacked by four men as he stood under the Crann an Oir monument on Dame Street.
He suffered serious stab wounds to his face and stomach and he is currently in St James's Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The attackers are believed to have been wearing dark coloured tops with their hoods up.

Two men are being treated in hospital following a violent attack in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Friday morning. One man, originally from China, is in a critical condition in the Mater Hospital after he was attacked outside a restaurant on Capel Street around 2am.

Man Dies Following Dublin Apartment Fire
An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fatal fire at an apartment complex in Dublin city centre. A man, aged in his 60s, has died in the Mater Hospital as a result of the fire. The fire happened at the building on Benburb Street at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 01 January.

Man Dies After Being Struck By Two Cars
A man has died after being hit by two cars near Dublin city centre in the early hours of this morning. The man, believed to be in his 50s, was seriously injured in the accident which occurred at Parnell Square West at around 12.15am. He was taken to the Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The drivers of both cars were not injured.
