Pa Byrnes Jnr Brutally Attacked In Broad Daylight

A well known criminal has been viciously beaten and left fighting for his life after a broad daylight attack in Limerick on Tuesday.

According to the Irish Independent, 34-year-old Pa Byrnes Jnr was attacked around 15:00 on Lord Edward Street in Limerick city.

A 21-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the attack.

Byrnes had been released from prison just one week ago.

In 2005 he had been jailed for six years for his involvement in the shooting of Edward 'Teddy Boy' Harty in Patricksell on May 30 that year.
