Garda Uncover Cannabis Growhouse
A man detained in connection with a €40,000 cannabis seizure in Co Cork has been released without charge.
The drugs where uncovered when garda discovered a grow house in a rented cottage in Tower around 21.00 on Monday night.
Some 50 cannabis plants at various stages of maturity with a potential value on harvesting of €40,000 were recovered.
With heating and lighting equipment also seized.
An Irishman in his late 40s was arrested under drug trafficking legislation and taken to Gurranebraher Garda station for questioning.
He was released without charge at about 3am this morning and gardaí will now prepare a file on the matter for the DPP, said a Garda spokesman.

A search of a Dublin address yesterday evening led to the arrest of a man and recovered a cache of cannabis worth nearly €200,000. According to Gardaí this morning, the find is part of an on-going investigation carried out by members of the Crime Task Force attached to the Bridewell Garda Station in Dublin.
