Three Arrested In Connection With Large Drugs Seizure In Co Cork
Three people have been arrested in connection with a large drugs seizure in County Cork.
As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of controlled substances in the Cork area, Gardaí from Bandon Garda station searched a house at Presentation Terrace, Kinsale on the 27 October.
During the course of the search Gardaí discovered ecstasy with a street value of approximately €54,000; cannabis herb with a street value of approximately €60,000 and cocaine with a street value of approximately €175,000.
A man and a woman in their 40s and a man in his 20s were arrested and were detained at Bandon Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
The woman in her 40s and the man in his 20s have been released without charge and a file will be prepared fro the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A man in his 40s is due to appear at a special sitting of Macroom District Court today charged in relation to the seizure.

A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Gardaí Seize Cocaine In Cork
Three kilos of cocaine have been seized by gardaí during searches in Cork. One kilo of the drug was found in a van stopped by officers at Strawhall in Fermoy on Thursday evening. A man, believed to be the van driver, was arrested. Two more kilos of the drug was found during a follow-up search of a flat in Mitchelstown.

Two In Court Over €240,000 Cannabis Seizure
Two men are due in court today in connection with a cannabis seizure in Co Meath at the weekend. Gardai seized drugs worth an estimated €240,000 on Friday following what they described as a planned operation targeting the activities of a north Dublin criminal gang.

Man Shot In The Leg At A Pub In Dublin
A man has been shot in the leg in a Dublin bar. A gunman, who was wearing a balaclava, entered the premises on Cork Street in Dolphin's Barn at approximately 11pm on Monday night, according to gardai. He shot a 66-year-old man in the leg and escaped from the scene. The victim is currently being treated in St James' Hospital.

Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.
