Teen To Appear In Court Over Weekend Assault

A teenager is due to appear at Blanchardstown District Court today in connection with a serious assault on Saturday.

It is understood that at approximately 6.30am four males were sitting in a parked car at Fortlawn Park when they were approached and set upon by a group of males.

During the incident one of the occupants of the car, a 21-year-old male, was seriously assaulted.

The car was then taken by the assailants and later found on fire short distance away at Sheepmore Green.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital and later moved to Beaumont Hospital where he is receiving treatment for serious head injuries.

Two other men were also arrested but later released without charge following. A file is to be sent to the DPP.

Man Dies Following Serious Assault In Dublin
A man has died after being seriously assaulted in Dublin. The attack happened in the Avonbeg Gardens area at around 5.30pm on Thursday. The victim was taken to Tallaght Hospital, however he was pronounced dead a short time later. No arrests have been made. Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Woman Appears In Court Over Galway Death
A woman is due to appear before Waterford District Court this morning charged in connection with the death of a man in the city on Monday night. Joe O’Brien’s body was found at Scotch Marsh House apartment complex, Scotch Quay, Waterford. A post-mortem found he died from head injuries.

Man Charged Over Dublin Assault
A man has been charged in connection with an assault on three males in Dublin. The attack happened at Broadford Road in Ballinteer on Thursday, 05 May. The three victims, aged 20, 18 and early teens were cycling on Broadford Road when they were assaulted by four other males who were travelling in a car described as a blue coloured Peugeot.

Appeal For Information On Alleged Serious Sexual Assault In Co Wexford
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following the alleged serious sexual assault of a teenage girl in Co Wexford. The sexual assault is alleged to have taken place when a group of male youths violently attacked three girls at around 12.
