Appeal For Information On Alleged Serious Sexual Assault In Co Wexford

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following the alleged serious sexual assault of a teenage girl in Co Wexford.

The sexual assault is alleged to have taken place when a group of male youths violently attacked three girls at around 12.15am in the Burrow area of Courtown Harbour in Gorey between 10pm on Saturday night last and 2am on Sunday morning.

It is understood that garda have identified a number of males, said to be from the Kilkenny area, believed to be "either directly involved in the attack or were with those who carried it out".

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward. In particular, they want to speak to anyone who was in the Burrow area between 10pm on Saturday (27 July) night and 2am on Sunday (28 July) morning who saw any suspicious behaviour to contact gardaí in Gorey on 053 943 0690 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Alleged Sexual Assault
Gardaí in Dublin are searching for three people in connection with an alleged sexual assault at Cobra Park on Sunday. It is understood that a woman alleges she was attacked in the park, near Phibsborough, at about 19:45 on Sunday night. The woman is being treated at the Rotunda Hospital's sexual assault unit.

Waterford Sexual Assault Suspected Arrested
Gardaí investigating a serious sexual assault in Waterford city have arrested a man in his 20s. Garda say that the incident happened in the Millennium Plaza area of the city at about 4am on Sunday morning. A forensic examination of the scene on the quays was conducted on Sunday and garda say that their investigation is continuing.
