Five Arrested Over Three Deaths

A total of five men have been arrested on Wednesday morning in connection with the deaths of three men in the Dublin and Midlands areas.

Gardaí from Limerick, assisted by the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation said they have arrested the five males this morning.

The arrests are part of the ongoing investigations into the deaths of Shane Geoghegan who died in November 2008, Roy Collins who died in April 2009 and James Cronin who was found dead in April 2008.

The arrested men are aged in their 20’s and 30’s.

They are detained at Roxboro Rd, Henry St, Mayorstone, Clondalkin and Whitehall Garda Stations under Sect 42 Criminal Justice Act.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Woman Charged Over Fatal Fire In Cork
A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal fire in Mallow, Cork, in March, 2013. Two men died in a fire at an apartment at Granary Court on 13 March, 2014. The woman was arrested on Monday and brought to Mallow Garda Station where she was charged.

Two Arrested In Connection With Journalists Murder
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 55-year-old man in Dublin city centre at the weekend. Eugene Moloney, a former Irish Independent journalist, died following a suspected assault on Camden Street on Sunday morning.
