Bomb Scare Delays North's Royal Wedding Party
Army bomb experts this morning dealt with a security alert in Co Antrim - linked to a royal wedding party that was due to take place in the area.
The police were called after a suspicious object was discovered in the grounds of Dixon Park. It has since been cleared and declared a hoax.
However, the police in Maghera, Co Londonderry, have described a suspicious object found under a van as a "viable device."
It was found lying on the ground beneath the vehicle in the Willow Glynn area on Friday morning .
Some residents were moved from their homes as Army bomb experts were called to the scene.
Also today, a suspicious object was found near the Hydebank Young Offendors Centre in south Belfast, but has this afternoon also been declared to be a hoax.
Last night, a security alert on the Glen Road in west Belfast ended after what was believed to have been a drinks flask prompted the scare
Army bomb experts examined the object and police said that nothing suspicious was found.
People who had been asked to leave their homes were then allowed to return and the Glen Road was reopened.
Meanwhile, a man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act after a security alert.
Residents were evacuated from homes after the PSNI closed part of the Antrim Road in north Belfast on Thursday.
Officers recovered a number of suspicious objects, which were taken away for further examination, police said.
The suspect was arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act and taken to the serious crime suite for questioning, a spokeswoman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said.

Garda Escapes Cork 'Fire-Bomb' Attack
A garda on speeding detection duties has escaped the vehicle uninjured after his vehicle was 'petrol bombed'. The police traffic van was set alight in Co Cork last night while the garda was still inside. The attack took place at around 7.30pm on the Tower road between Blarney and the village of Tower in Co Cork.

Hoax Devices Found In Dublin
Gardaí in Dublin have been called to two separate incidents regarding hoax devices. Garda were called to the Rutland Grove Avenue area at approximately 10.50 pm on Tuesday night after a suspicious object was found under a car. Gardaí from Sundrive Road cordoned off the area and began an evacuation of houses.

The device was found at the Wellington Monument on the Summerhill Road in the town around 1.10am this morning. The area was sealed off and diversions were put in place. The area is non-residential and there was no-one evacuated.
