Four Arrested In Connection With Drugs Seizures
Around €1m worth of drugs were seized as part of a planned Garda Operation in Longford and South Roscommon.
Four people have been arrested in connection in what is believed to be nearly 2,000 cannabis plants.
A man in his 20's was arrested after around 800 cannabis plants were seized at a growhouse in the South Roscommon area.
He is currently being questioned at Roscommon Garda Station.
Three people, in their 20's and 30's, were arrested after what is believed to be double the number of plants were seized in Longford town.
They are being held at Longford and Mullingar Garda Stations.
All four are being questioned under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking act.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Seizure
A man has been arrested following a drugs seizure in Cork at around 10.30pm on Wednesday night. Around €58,000 worth of cannabis plants and equipment were found during the search of a house in Mallow. He is currently being questioned at Mallow garda station.

A firearm and a quantity of drugs have been seized by garda as part of an operation targeting criminal activity in Co Longford. A shotgun and ammunition were seized from a house in the Ballymahon area.

Two Men Arrested Following Cannabis Find
Two men have been arrested after Gardai seized an estimated €700,000 worth of cannabis plants in Virginia, Co Cavan. Detectives searched a warehouse in a planned operation this morning and found a major cultivation operation with an estimated 800 cannabis plants. The two males are being questioned in Bailieborough Garda station.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.
