Gardaí Arrest 45 In Major Drugs Operation
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region.
The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.
Speaking earlier today the new Assistant Garda Commissioner Michael Feehan said: "This latest operation to target drug suppliers across the Dublin region has seen local garda drug units supported by the Garda National Drug Unit ensure a co-coordinated and effective approach to protecting our communities, individuals and their families from the harm and pain caused by drug use."
The arrests follow a six-month covert operation in which gardaí and the Garda National Drug Unit have gathered evidence against those who they describe as “significant targets”, all of whom are expected to face multiple charges.
"By working with other agencies and utilising innovative approaches we will continue to play our part in maintaining a safe community for everyone," Mr Feehan added.
Twenty of those arrested are due before Dublin District Court later today.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
A 37-year-old man has been arrested after Gardai discovered what is believed to be 15 kilos of heroin at a house in Lucan yesterday evening. It is believed to have a street value of €2.25million. The man is being detained at Clondalklin Garda station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.

€200k Of Cannabis Seized In Dublin
A search of a Dublin address yesterday evening led to the arrest of a man and recovered a cache of cannabis worth nearly €200,000. According to Gardaí this morning, the find is part of an on-going investigation carried out by members of the Crime Task Force attached to the Bridewell Garda Station in Dublin.

Arrests Follow 500K Drug Seizure
Two men have been arrested in connection with a major drug seizure in Dublin that led to the discovery of an estimated €500,000 worth of various drugs. In a statement released this morning, Gardai said they had seized the drugs and arrested the two males following an intelligence lead operation in Dublin yesterday.

25 Arrested In Relation To Operation Boa
Gardaí from Coolock Garda station have arrested 25 people in the past two days for the involvement in the sale and supply controlled drugs. All 25 have been charged and released on bail to appear in court at a future date.
