Drugs Bust Recovers Weapon
One man is in custody following a number of searches in the Inchicore area of Dublin 8 last night.
Two houses were searched during a Gardaí operation and a quantity of cocaine and a firearm and ammunition were recovered.
In one of the houses Gardaí discovered cocaine estimated to be valued at €20,000 and seized an automatic pistol and number of rounds of ammunition.
The pistol has been taken to Garda Headquarters for technical and ballistics examination.
A man in his late teens was arrested at the scene; he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kevin Street Garda Station.
In a second house Gardaí seized cocaine estimated to be valued €10,000.
A female in her teens was arrested at the scene, she was subsequently released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí Seized Drugs Worth Estimated €5m
Gardaí in Dublin have seized drugs worth an estimated €5m. The Clondalkin Detective and Drugs Units uncovered heroin and cocaine during a search of premises at the Bluebell Industrial Estate on Tuesday. Gardaí said they seized 32.5kg of suspected heroin and half a kilogram of suspected cocaine. The drugs are still to be forensically tested.

Cocaine worth an estimated €500,000 has been discovered during a stop and search of a vehicle in west Dublin. Officers from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau made the seizure when they stopped a vehicle in Ballyfermot on Thursday afternoon. A follow-up search was also carried out in Dublin 20, garda said.
