Gardaí Car Rammed And Shot Fired In Louth

Two men have been arrested in connection with an incident in County Louth during which a Gardaí vehicle was rammed and a shot was fired by a member of Gardaí.

Gardai in Dundalk said the incident occurred while they were carrying out investigations as part of operation Anvil in the north Louth area.

The arrests were made following an incident in the Omeath area at approximately midnight on Tuesday night. According to Gardaí, during the incident a patrol car was rammed and one shot was discharged by a member of An Garda Síochána.

One of the men was arrested at the scene and the other a short distance away.

Both men who are aged in their 20s and are currently detained under the offences against the State Act at Dundalk Garda Station.

A technical examination of the scene is underway and enquiries are ongoing.

The mother-of-four was violently abducted from her home when she was looking after her children. Three other children were also in the house at the time.

Three Men Arrested After County Kildare Shooting Incident
Three men have been arrested in connection with a firearms incident in Co Kildare on Monday night, 06 November. At approximately 9.30pm last night, Gardaí observed a black Audi estate car with a partial registration number 151 G driving at speed through Monasterevin over the draw bridge, Main Street and on towards the Kildare Road.

Man Arrested Over Cocaine And Ammunition Find
Gardaí in Co Louth have seized a quantity of cocaine and 9mm ammunition following the search of a car. Cocaine worth an estimated €50,000, and a small quantity of ammunition, was uncovered when garda searched the car at about 18:00 in Drogheda on Monday. Officers arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the find.

Man Seriously Injured Following Stabbing Attack In Drogheda
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in County Louth. The incident occurred at a pharmacy on Scarlet Street in Drogheda shortly before 8.30am on Tuesday. The victim, believed to be in his 30's, is currently being treated in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
