Appeal Follows Castlebellingham 'Tiger Kidnap'
An appeal has been launched into a so-called tiger kidnapping incident in Castlebellingham, which saw an amount of money stolen from the local post office.
Further to thier earlier appeal, Gardai in Ardee are seeking the Public’s assistance in their investigation into the robbery which occurred in County Louth on the Friday.
Shortly after 9am on the morning of the robbery, a sum of money which was in a black sack was picked up from outside a Hairdressers close to the Village Stores.
Gardaí have released descriptions of two men they believe were involved in the incident. The first man is described as 6 feet tall, with grey hair with grey moustache, mid 40s to mid 50’s, and wearing a brown jacket,
The other man is said to be in his early 30’s, of thin build and with black hair.
The men were seen driving a new model black car in the area. No better description of the vehicle has emerged.
Gardaí said that in addition to the above, a male in his mid 40’s to mid 50’s with spiked dark hair, wearing a suit driving a silver coloured Toyota Avensis with the registration of 05 D was seen in the area of the shop around the time of the incident, Gardaí said they would like to speak to this individual.
Around the time of the incident two buses were going through the village of Castlbellingham one heading for Dundalk the other for Drogheda.
Gardai are appealing for anyone on either bus or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or unusual either today or even over the last number of days to contact the Gardai in Ardee on 041-6853222, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí in Ronanstown are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 37-year-old John Murray. Mr Murray is missing from the Neilstown area of Dublin. He was last seen leaving a house in Cabinteely at approximately 7.30pm on Sunday 1 December. He was wearing blue jeans, blue and red shirt, green jacket and green runners.

Woman Arrested Following Shooting Incident In Limerick
A woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick on Monday. Christy Keane was shot a number of times in the chest and arms. He is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic incident occurred on the Dublin Road, Mountshannon, Limerick City, on Tuesday 26th May 2026. The incident, which involved a bicycle, took place shortly after 2:00pm. Following the event, the male cyclist, who was aged in his 40s, left the scene and travelled to a domestic residence.

Shortly after 9.30pm last night, Monday 27 March, a man was cycling on James Joyce Street when he was struck by a silver Ford Focus, license plate 08CN6682, at the junction of James Joyce Street and Sean McDermott Street.
