Four Held In Jason Murder Probe
Gardaí in Ballyfermot have arrested four people in relation to the murder of Jason Martin last year.
The victim was fatally injured at a bar in the Park West area of Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 on the 27th September last year.
Two women in their thirties and one man in his mid 20s are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act in Ballyfermot and Clondalkin Garda Stations.
The second man (who is in his mid 30s) is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act in Ballyfermot Garda Station.
Mr Martin - who was in his 40s - died in Tallaght Hospital following an incident at a bar in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin.
The man had been taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a stab wound to the body.
The incident took place in the car park of a pub off Park West Road at about 2.00am on the 27th of September 2009.
Gardai had received a call to the area following reports of a large row and when Gardai arrived they found up to 20 people involved in the disturbance.
Medical attention was sought for two men at the scene and they were removed to Tallaght Hospital, but one of these men was later pronounced dead.

Man Injured In Ballyfermot Pub Shooting
A 32-year-old man is being treated in hospital following a shooting incident outside the Ruby Finnegans pub in Ballyfermot. The man was sitting in his car when an unknown male approached and fired a number of shots. The victim was able to drive himself to Cloverhill Prison where he received helped.

Man Shot By Gang In Dublin
A 20-year-old man has been shot in the Ballyfermot area of west Dublin overnight. According to Gardaí, a gang of men attacked the victim, who is from the Ballyfermot area, on the grounds behind the Cherry Orchard Hospital around 10.00pm. The attackers shot the man in the lower body, before making their getaway in two cars.

A 25-year-old man has been shot dead in Limerick city. The shooting happened outside a house in St Ita's Street in the St Mary's Park area around 10:15pm on Monday night. The victim was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, but died on arrival.

Protection Of Life During Pregnancy Bill Published
The Protection of Life during Pregnancy Bill has been published by the government following approval by the Cabinet. Several significant changes have been made to the outline of the Bill, which was published in April. The Minister for Health will be given the power to stop suspended an institution if deemed to be operating the Act inappropriately.
