Help Sought Over Gang Related Killing

An appeal for information into the killing of a man in Dublin has been renewed over two weeks after his death.

Gardai at Ballyfermot investigating the death of Jason Martin at Park West on the renewed their appeal to the public today after progress halted in the case.

Jason Martin, who is in his 40s, died in Tallaght Hospital following a gang related brawl at a bar in the Ballyfermot area of Dublin.

The man had been taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a stab wound to the body. 
The incident took place in the carpark of a pub off Park West Road in Dublin, at about 2.00am on 27 September. Gardai had received a call to the area following reports of a large row.

When Gardai arrived they found up to 20 people involved in the disturbance. Four men were arrested under the Public Order Act and taken to Ballyfermot Garda Station. The men have since been released and files will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. 



Medical attention was sought for two men at the scene and they were removed to Tallaght Hospital.

Now the investigating team are appealing to any person with information, especially taxi drivers who may have picked up or seen anything suspicious in the Park West area of Ballyfermot on the night of the 26th into the early hours of the night in question.

They are particularly keen to talk to any taxi drivers working in this area who may have dropped any person suffering from injuries to Hospital and or to any address. This includes any person that may have been referring to the incident at Park West that night.

Further Arrests Over Doherty Case

Four Held Over Doherty Murder
A woman in her 40s is among four people arrested in connection with the murder of Wayne Doherty, Gardaí have revealed today. Gardai made the arrests this morning in relation to the Murder of Wayne Doherty in July at Hartstown, Dublin 15 last year. The female aged in her 40s is currently being detained at Lucan Garda Station.

Three Arrested In Connection With Major Cannabis Seizure
Three men have been arrested in connection with a major cannabis seizure in Dublin. Herbal cannabis worth an estimated €2m was discovered at an industrial unit in Clondalkin. The men, aged 32, 49 and 57, were arrested at the scene are being held at Clondalkin and Ballyfermot Garda Stations.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Money Laundering In Dublin
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering in Dublin. Gardaí from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, supported by the Special Crime Task Force, carried out a number of planned searches in the Islandbridge and Ballyfermot areas on Thursday, 12 January. During the operation, €120,000 in cash was seized.

Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Property In Dublin
A man has been arrested after shots were fired at a property in Dublin on Friday morning. Three men are believed have targeted the house on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot at approximately 10am. A firearm was also recovered from the scene of the attack. The man is being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
