Fatal Shooting In Limerick City

A 25-year-old man has been shot dead in Limerick city.

The shooting happened outside a house in St Ita's Street in the St Mary's Park area around 10:15pm on Monday night.

The victim was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, but died on arrival.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is being held at Henry Street Garda station.

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination and gardaí are carrying out house-to-house enquiries.

There has been an arrest this morning after a bread delivery man was shot dead at a petrol station on the Ennis Road in Limerick. A 29-year-old man has been held in connection with the murder of the delivery man - believed to have been in his 30s.

According to reports, a teenager and a young child have been injured in an incident that gardaí have said is "ongoing" in the Parlickstown area of Blanchardstown. Two Held Over Attempted Shooting Attack Released
Two men arrested in connection with an attempted shooting attack in Dublin have been released without charge. The incident occurred at a car park next to the Islandbridge Court Apartments on 1 November. A Honda Civic rammed another car at the scene. Two occupants in the car then ran after the driver of the other vehicle and fired a number of shots.

A man has been killed in a Dublin 'bookmakers' shop - after being shot at 11 times. The attack happened in a broad daylight in the betting office on Killester Avenue in Donnycarney, shortly before 3.00pm on Saturday.

Elderly Man Arrested After Fatal Shooting In Mayo
An elderly man has been arrested after a man in his 60s was shot dead in County Mayo. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene in Aghamore, Ballyhaunis shortly before midnight on Tuesday, 17 September. It is understood the elderly man heard noises outside his property before the shots were fired.
