Arrests In Donegal Drug Find

Three men have been arrested after a drug seizure at Carraigans, County Donegal yesterday evening.

According to a Gardaí spokesman this morning, at approximately 5.00pm yesterday, Garda from Letterkenny carried out a search of a house in the Carraigans area. 



During the course of the search Gardaí seized approximately 1200 Cannabis plants, which subject to analysis may have a street value of up to €500,000.

Three men aged in their late 20s and early 30s were been arrested. They are currently being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act where they can be held for up to seven days.

Gardaí Arrest 45 In Major Drugs Operation
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region. The latest details of arrests come shortly after it was revealed a man and woman were arrested in the Stillorgan area of Dublin after a major drug find yesterday afternoon.

Young Man Arrested After Huge Heroin Find
A 20 year-old man is currently being detained by gardaí following a significant drug find at house in Dublin. In the course of the search on the property in St Mark's Grove, Clondalkin, Dublin, Gardai recovered approximately 1Kg of Heroin with an estimated street value of €200,000, pending analysis.

Three Arrests Made Following Drug Finds In Dublin
Gardaí have arrested three people following two separate drug finds in Dublin and Monaghan. Officers from the Crumlin Detective Unit arrested a man and a woman following a planned search of a house in Foxrock, Dublin on Tuesday night.

New Powers Allow For Roadside Drug Testing
The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross has announced the commencement of the drug driving provisions in the Road Traffic Act 2016. One of the key measures in the legislation provides for Preliminary Drug Testing, which will enable Gardaí to test motorists whom they suspect of driving under the influence of drugs at the roadside.
