Four Arrested In Ongoing Drugs Crackdown

Gardaí have revealed this morning that an additional four people have been arrested in connection with drugs finds in Dublin since yesterday.

The latest details of arrests come shortly after it was revealed a man and woman were arrested in the Stillorgan area of Dublin after a major drug find yesterday afternoon.

However, in the latest incident, Gardaí say they have arrested a further four individuals in connection with another drug find yesterday evening.

The ongoing operation, targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Dublin West, led Gardaí to stop and searched two vehicles on the Ninth Lough Road at approximately 7pm yesterday evening.

Officer's assisted by Garda National Drugs Unit and Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit searched the car and van finding seven kilo's of cannabis herb with an approximate street value of €82,000.

Three males, aged 31, 35 and 43 years, were arrested and are presently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Following this discovery the same Garda Units (GNDU & OCU) searched a house in the Clonshaugh area on the Northside of Dublin.

During the course of the search a substantial quantity of cash was recovered and a 19-year-old man was arrested.

He is presently detained at Ballymun Garda Station under section 2 of the drug trafficking Act.

Three Arrested Following Drugs Find
A couple from Cork and an Irishman have been arrested in Spain after €6 million of cannabis was discovered on board an Irish yacht. Approximately 500kg of the drug was discovered on board the vessel by Spanish authorities. It is believed to have been travelling from Morocco. Gardai are liaising with Spanish police in relation to the three suspects.

€1.5m St Pat's Day Cocaine Bust: Two Held
A man and woman are in garda custody this morning following a significant cocaine seizure in west Dublin yesterday afternoon. The pair, both aged 23, were held after around 22kgs of the drug was found during a raid on a house in Clondalkin. Mixing agent, a drugs pressing machine and other paraphernalia were also seized.

Teen Arrested After Drugs Find In Dublin
A teenager has been arrested in connection with a drugs find in Dublin on Wednesday. Gardaí say the find was a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Lucan area.

Two Gardaí Officers Secure International Honour
Two Gardaí officers have been honoured by Spanish police for their work helping tackle organised crime in Spain. Detective Superintendent Seamus Boland of the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) within Special Crime Operations and a Garda Liaison Officer visited Mallorca to receive the honour by the Guardia Civil.
