Investigation Launched Into Waterford Shooting
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man was injured in a shooting in Co Waterford last night.
The incident happened shortly before 10.30pm at a halting site in the Shandon area.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital. However, it is understood that his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening and he was later discharged.
No arrests have been made and the scene remains sealed off for a technical examination.
Gardaí in Dungarvan are continuing to investigate the incident.

Gardaí are investigating an incident after a man allegedly drove his car into the doors of the Accident and Emergency Department of the Regional Hospital Waterford. Garda said it is trying to establish why the man drove his car into the doors of the facility shortly before midnight on Wednesday.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

Former Irish Times Editor Dies
Journalist Ella Shanahan, has passed away in her County Waterford home. Ms Shanahan, 60, was the former London Editor of The Irish Times. She will also be remembered for her work in the RTÉ newsroom in the 1970s.
