Former Irish Times Editor Dies

Journalist Ella Shanahan, has passed away in her County Waterford home.

Ms Shanahan, 60, was the former London Editor of The Irish Times.

She will also be remembered for her work in the RTÉ newsroom in the 1970s.

Former Sports Coach Arrested In Waterford After Abuse Allegations
A former sports coach has been arrested by garda in Waterford in connection with allegations of sexual abuse carried out in the 1970s and 1980s. According to the Irish Times, the man in his 60s was arrested at his home around 08:00 on Friday morning. He is being held at Waterford Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
