Derry Clue To Identity Of Sligo Body
Gardaí investigating the discovery of the body of a man found in Sligo in June have called for assistance from the public.
Officers in Sligo are renewing their appeal for public assistance in identifying the body, which was found at Rosses Point on 16th June this year.
Gardaí have revealed their enquiries now suggest the man was at the Ulsterbus terminal in Co Derry (pictured) at 2.30pm on 12th June, where he boarded a bus for Sligo at 4pm that same day.
The man is described as 55 to 65 yrs, with short grey hair, dark eyebrows and is of average height, thin build and was found wearing swimming trunks.
In the nearby area a black leather jacket, navy chino style trousers, black belt, black sleeveless Tommy Hilfiger jumper, blue woollen sock, and black shoes were discovered.
A spokesman for Gardaí said: "To date this male remains unidentified. Detective Inspector John O'Reilly of Sligo Garda Station is now making a renewed appeal in an effort to identify this man and notify his next of kin."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room in Sligo Garda Station on 071 - 9157070 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

A post mortem examination will be carried out today on the body of a 60-year-old man who died in hospital after being assaulted in Sligo town. Cyril Moran was assaulted at his home at River Road in the Cartron Point area of Sligo Town on Thursday morning.

Gardaí have launched a new appeal for information about missing Sligo teenager Melissa Mahon on the first anniversary of her disappearance. Melissa, 15, was last seen on September 13, 2006. She is described as being 5ft tall and of thin build, with long black hair and a pale complexion.

Pensioner Dies In Sligo Collision
A pensioner has died in a car crash in County Sligo. The collision, which involved a car and a van, occurred at Lufnadeffa, Ballysadare at around 12.20pm on Wednesday. The driver of the car, a female in her 80s and the van driver are being treated in hospital with serious injures. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Two Arrested Over Murder Of Martin Kivlehan
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Martin Kivlehan. 59-year-old Mr Kivlehan was found with stab wounds at his apartment in Sligo on 03 August. Both men were both arrested in Sligo town and are currently being detained at Sligo Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.
