Still No ID On Body Discovered In June

Almost a month after the discovery of a body, Gardaí are still struggling to positively 'ID' the victim.

Officers in Sligo have therefore re-launched an appeal to identify the male whose body was found at Rosses Point Beach on 16 June.

Gardai are looking for the public's help in their effort to identify the male, who was is described as 55 to 65 yrs, with short grey hair, dark eyebrows, average height, and of thin build.

The man was wearing swimming trunks at the time of the find.

Gardaí have revealed today that a search of the area uncovered a bundle of clothing close to the scene where the man's body was recovered.

Gardaí have described the clothing as including a black leather jacket, navy chino style trousers, a black belt, black sleeveless Tommy Hilfiger jumper, a blue woollen sock, and black shoes.

Body On Beach Probe Gets Fresh Lead
The gardaí in Sligo have confirmed that they are following a number of lines of inquiry as they continue to try to identify the body of the man washed up on Rosses Point beach last Tuesday morning. The body was found shortly before 7am that morning and oddly, had no personal effects, phone wallet or any form of identification with his clothing.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.
