Further Find Follows Finglas Haul

Gardaí in Finglas investigating the seizure of a substance - believed to be heroin - on St Margarets Rd Finglas yesterday, have since carried out a follow-up search at an apartment.

They went to the premsies in the Northwood Complex in Santry yesterday evening shortly after 8.00pm.

In the course of the search they recovered what is believed to be a further €280,000 worth of heroin (subject to analysis).

Two men aged 23 and 26 were arrested and are currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

A 65-year-old man has appeared in court charged 18 counts of indecently assaulting two boys in a Westmeath primary school 18 years ago. Two Arrested Following Finglas Drug Find
A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with a heroin seizure in Dublin on Monday. Officers from Garda Drugs Unit carried out a planned search at a house in Ratoath Drive, Finglas, Dublin 11. During the search heroin worth an estimated street value of €40,000 was seized.

Suspect Released Following Drugs Raid
Heroin, cannabis and amphetamine worth an estimated €40,000 has been seized by gardaí during a search of a house in Thurles. Two arrests were made during the search, a woman in her 20s, who has since been released, and a man in his 30s, who remains in custody.

Mother Convicted On Firearms Charges
A Dutch mother of three has been jailed for the possession of firearms. The woman, Caroline Van Dongeren, 32, was given a three-year sentence after a search at her home uncovered two magazines each containing 10 rounds of ammunition.

Drugs' Raids Revealed
The police are today investigating circumstances surrounding the seizure of a substance - believed to be heroin - in the Finglass area, as well as one in Raheny. A major quarter-million euro haul was recovered early this morning on St Margarets Rd Finglas (Wednesday) at around 1.20am.
