Drugs' Raids Revealed

The police are today investigating circumstances surrounding the seizure of a substance - believed to be heroin - in the Finglass area, as well as one in Raheny.

A major quarter-million euro haul was recovered early this morning on St Margarets Rd Finglas (Wednesday) at around 1.20am.

Gardaí said that two men in their mid 20s were arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station where they were detained under Sec 2 Drug Trafficking Act.

The officers said that the value of the drug seizure is believed to be in the region of €250,000.

Meanwhile, gardaí from the Divisional unit in Santry are also investigating the seizure of a substance heroin in Edenmore Pk, Raheny last night, just before midnight.

One man in his late 20s was arrested and taken to Coolock Garda Station where he was detained under Sec 2 Drug Trafficking Act.

The value of the second drug seizure is believed to be in the region of €25,000.

Drug Hauls Recovered
As the result of an ongoing operation involving the Organised Crime team and Naas detective units, a house has been searched in the Robertstown area of Co Kildare. The overnight operation was supported by the Garda National Drugs Unit and during the course of the search 15 kilos of heroin were seized.

Two Held Following Drug Seizure
Two men are being held following the discovery of cannabis and amphetamines worth an estimated €140,000. Some €20,000 worth of cannabis and €120,000 of amphetamines were uncovered when a car was stopped and searched in Waterford. Gardaí say the search was part of an ongoing operation.

Two Arrested Over Finglas Drug Seizure
Gardaí have seized drugs worth an estimated €63,000 during a search in Finglas on Monday morning. Gardaí seized cannabis herb, cocaine and cash during the raid on a house in Berryfield Drive. A man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, were arrested at the scene. Gardaí say that a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Four Arrested In Ongoing Drugs Crackdown
Gardaí have revealed this morning that an additional four people have been arrested in connection with drugs finds in Dublin since yesterday. The latest details of arrests come shortly after it was revealed a man and woman were arrested in the Stillorgan area of Dublin after a major drug find yesterday afternoon.
